Product Description

WARNING

At the first inkling of you getting water into the combustion chambers of your engine you should have your exhaust manifolds pressure tested to see if they are letting water through into the exhaust.
As water doesn't compress you run the risk of hydrolicing your engine and causing severe damage.
One early sign is that the starter motor is having difficulty turning the engine over.
You may be lucky and only break the starter motor off or blow a head gasket.
Leaking manifolds are not repairable and replacement is required.
A sign that the manifolds are wearing is the dimple affect in the section where the exhaust gases exit.
Another reason for faulty manifolds is overheating caused through a water blockage.
I experienced a situation where a customer purchased a new pair of manifolds for his Holden 308.
A week later returned with the new manifold and stated they were no good as they melted inside.
On inspection l found a piece of broken water pump impeller in one of the elbows leading into the manifold.
This caused a blockage and subsequently melted the water jacket inside the centre ports.
If a water pump impeller breaks apart inspection of the plumbing fittings is accentual as most times larger pieces will not flow right through the engine.
The best practice is run the water through manifolds first after coming through the water pump.
